Amy grew up in Southern California where she met and married her husband, David. They moved to Northern California in 1998 to be closer to family and enjoy a slower pace. Following a 15 year career in the health and fitness industry, Amy started a business teaching Gymnastics & Dance to young children, and returned to school to earn her B.A. Degree in Child Development from Sacramento State University. Through her schooling, she became intrigued by the development of the young brain, especially in the areas of social and emotional growth, which inspired her to use curriculum that would foster positive character, socio-emotional growth, and beneficial peer interactions. When Amy and her husband began homeschooling their only daughter in 2011, she wanted to extend her love of teaching to include other homeschooling families. In 2015, she began offering an all day, all-inclusive TK/Kindergarten enrichment class one day a week. She now offers classes for Kinders 4 days a week and hopes to work with children for many years to come, as they bring much joy to her life!
